The Tigers boast a stout rushing offense, led by a strong offensive line, dual-threat quarterback Beua Pribula and, of course, star running back Ahmad Hardy. The Louisiana-Monroe transfer has been one of the best rushers in the country this season, having totaled 730 yards with 9 touchdowns at an impressive 7.1 yards per carry through 5 games.

Alabama’s rushing defense doesn’t have great numbers, but the results are a little deceiving. The Crimson Tide have faced a host of great running teams already, including Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Florida State. Georgia’s run game is improved from last season, too. With that in mind, Alabama’s average allowed rushing yardage of 155 per game is pretty solid.
It’s also important to note that Florida State, the best rushing offense the Tide have faced, beat Alabama to start the year with 230 yards on the ground. In other words, the blueprint for a Mizzou win is certainly there.
Has Alabama adjusted? Stopping Hardy will be paramount in this one.
