EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Goodwill cut the ribbon on a new location in East Rochester on Friday morning. The store opened at the former Big Lots location on 825 Fairport Road.
The first 100 shoppers 16 or older at the store will get a $10 Goodwill gift card. The store is stocked with second-hand clothing, household items, seasonal merchandise, new goods, and more.
The money raised from the sales will go toward Goodwill of the Finger Lakes’ projects. Those include the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Goodwill Learning Academy, Goodwill Vision Enterprises, and Good Neighbor Program. The store opened at 9 a.m. after remarks from local leaders.
