ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Western New York Coalition of Farmworker Serving Agencies celebrated a significant milestone with the unveiling of a new identity. The organization announced its name change to ENLACE, the Spanish word for “link.”
Organizers say the new name reflects a stronger connection to the community and a renewed mission to serve farmworkers and migrant families more effectively.
“When we changed our name to ENLACE, we wanted to emphasize our commitment to providing comprehensive services, including family separation and legal support,” said Irene Sanchez, executive director of ENLACE.
With a new name and office space, ENLACE aims to deliver even more efficient service to the communities they serve.
The announcement was made during a special open house Thursday celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
Throughout the month, the City of Rochester is hosting various events aiming to honor the past and inspire the future of Hispanic heritage in our area.
