PERRY, N.Y. — A 33-year-old man is facing felony assault charges after police say he beat someone at a home in Wyoming County.
The Perry Police Department says on Oct. 3, Michael Bernard hit a person in the face with a refrigerator tray, threw them into a counter multiple times, before pushing them into a table and onto the floor.
The victim was brought to the hospital for their injuries. Police say there was a two-month old and a 12-year-old in the home at the time of the assault.
Bernard was arrested and charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal mischief. He was arraigned and released, and is set to return to court in November.
