As he was speaking about the series between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, his phone started to ring.
“Sorry, it’s a rain delay,” Jeter said, as the segment was interrupted.
“I have an appointment, a parent-teacher conference that I’m gonna miss.
“Sorry, guys.”
The rest of the panel, including Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz, urged Jeter to take the call.
“I might, I might,” the five-time World Series champion responded with a smile.

Jeter calls for abrupt break amid Yankees-Blue Jays discussion
As they dissected Game 3 of the Yankees-Blue Jays series, which was won 9-6 by New York, Ortiz asked his fellow analysts how they would pronounce Cam Schlittler’s surname.
Jeter, Kevin Burkhardt and Alex Rodriguez all took acceptable cracks at the pronunciation, but the discussion took a dark turn when Ortiz had a go himself.
