A WOMAN who was thrown out of a JoJo Siwa concert by the singer herself for her hoody has insisted she had no idea it was offensive.

The Celebrity Big Brother star was on stage in Glasgow when she spotted the jumper in question, and quickly instructed her security to remove the person wearing it from the gig.

tiktok/friendly_musicianAnjali has issued an apology after she was thrown out of JoJo Siwa’s Glasgow concert because of her homemade hoody[/caption] She just printed off the first funny image she found onlineFacebook But while they thought JoJo would find it funny, she did not – and ended up kicking them out of the showFacebook

A video of the moment went viral, as JoJo could be heard saying: You’re not going to come to my concert and bring a hoodie making fun of me, no way! No way, man!

“Thank you for coming, appreciate it! But we only got room for infinity hearts in here, right?”

To cheers from the crowd, JoJo added: “Not in my house, baby. We got no room for that.

“We got no room for that!”

Now, Anjali – one of the people kicked out of the gig over the hoody – has opened up in a video on her TikTok page, issuing an apology to the ex Dance Moms starlet for causing offence.

She said that because she and her friend didn’t have any “merch” to wear to the gig, they came up with the idea of printing out a picture from the Internet and sticking it on their clothes.

They Googled “funny JoJo Siwa picture” and printed off the first one they found, thinking “it’ll be funny and JoJo has a good sense of humour so she’ll laugh as well”.

The picture in question showed an egg with JoJo’s face on it – an image that had been made years ago to poke fun at the shape of her head and her high hairline.

And despite the fact that it was initially shared by someone mocking JoJo, the singer herself did also post it on her Instagram page – apparently finding it amusing at the time.

Anjali added that she and her friend had been in the concert for around 45 minutes when JoJo asked what everyone was wearing, and they seized the opportunity to show her their outfits and make her laugh.

“We were like, oh my goodness, she’s gonna laugh and find it really funny.

“And she didn’t find it funny… She kicked us out.”

Anjali admitted she felt as thought she was “about to have a panic attack” when she was thrown out of the concert, as it was the first time it’s ever happened.

“I’ve been to other concerts and shows and they find stuff like that really funny,” she continued.

“Like it’s a common thing for people to like bring a funny picture.”

But when they tried to talk to staff at the concert venue about the mixup, Anjali claimed they were “ignoring us”, adding “it wasn’t very fun”.

Further explaining in the video caption, Anjali wrote: “We didn’t have any merch so we decided to just print off the first picture we saw and stick it on our clothes.

“We didn’t look at the back story behind it or know it would be a trigger for her, else we absolutely would not have done that.

“None of it was with malicious intent.”

“JoJo, I’m so, so sorry,” Anjali wrote over the top of the video.

People were quick to weigh in in the comments section, with one writing: “JoJo was completely wrong for what she did.

“It was a joke. They weren’t out to get her!”

“I love JoJo but felt it was really out of character for her to do that,” another admitted.

“JoJo clearly just doesn’t get British humour – she totally overreacted,” a third said.

However, others were on JoJo’s side, with one writing: “I cracked jokes with Joelle but I would never intentionally do anything to harm her.

“She is right in these circumstances to remove you from the venue unfortunately.”

“Not even a follower of Siwa and even I know she doesn’t like the unwarranted negativity about her appearance,” another said.

“Taking funny pictures of the artist to concerts with you isn’t common at all.

“Definitely missed the mark on this one.”
