The preseason hype and millions in free media publicity that surrounded Bill Belichick’s transformation from the NFL into college football apparently has North Carolina fans disguising themselves as empty seats.
Belichick’s North Carolina team faced off against Clemson at home Saturday afternoon, and 50,000-seat Kenan Stadium was reportedly at near capacity for the noon kickoff. By the time halftime rolled around, however, many Tar Heels fans figured there were better ways to spend the day in Chapel Hill.
