Liverpool fans have been left scrambling for travel options amid chaos caused by Storm Amy on Saturday.
The Reds supporters are trying to travel down to London for their blockbuster clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Trains in Liverpool and surrounding areas have been majorly impacted by Storm AmyAlamyHowever, the stormy conditions are majorly impacting trains, with multiple cancellations at local stations.
Liverpool reporter for The Athletic, James Pearce, warned fans about the travel issues on social media this morning.
Pearce wrote: “Travel chaos for LFC fans en route to Chelsea with trains out of Lime St and Runcorn cancelled due to storm damage to overhead electric wires.
“If you can get to Crewe, they’re running fine from there.”
Major disruption has been caused by the damage, with the issue impacting Avanti West Coast and West Midlands Railway trains.
Trains travelling south from Liverpool Lime Street are disrupted.
And some services are starting at Crewe station, skipping out stops at Lime Street and Runcorn on the way to London.
Delays are expected to last until 2pm at the earliest on Saturday.
However, trains continue to be cancelled at a later time than that at both Liverpool Lime Street and Runcorn.
National Rail have said on the delays: “Damage to the overhead wires between Crewe and Runcorn means trains between Wolverhampton and Liverpool Lime Street may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 14:00.”

It has also been confirmed by National Rail that fans can use their train tickets on alternative services.
East Midlands Railway, Merseyrail, Northern and Transport for Wales trains can be used by impacted travellers.
Rail replacement transport has also been put into place in affected areas, according to the Liverpool Echo.
