ROCHESTER, N.Y. — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On Wednesday, survivors, supporters, and community leaders gathered for a powerful celebration of strength and healing.
The Breast Cancer Confidence Project (BCCP) officially launched its new book “You Are Whole,” which is a photography-led book that shows a moving collection of portraits and personal stories from over a dozen breast cancer survivors.
President of BCCP Michaela Raes said in a press release this book is about “thriving beyond breast cancer” and about “reclaiming confidence, body image, and community support,” which is what the BCCP organization is all about, their website says.
“We believe these photos will help so many women and their families see their bodies in a new light and make healing an easier journey,” said Raes.
