Woodland Hills Farmers Market aims for supporting local farmers ...Middle East

News by : (Los Angeles Daily News) -

The Woodland Hills Farmers Market opened in 2022 on Shoup Avenue a few blocks north of Ventura Boulevard where the owner, Shivam Dhupar, says he puts  “an emphasis on supporting local farmers, business in the heart of Woodland Hills.”

The market is open Saturdays 9am-1pm on property he rents from the Woodland Hills United Methodist Church. Dhupar says he’s “really grateful for the opportunity to serve the community.”

He says the Woodland Hills Farmers Market is unique by committing to local farmers. “We have the lowest fees for certified farmers in the city,” he claimed, “and until recently we never even charged the farmers any fees. … Also our market is unique because we have lots of kids activities, such as a kids play section, face painting and obstacle courses.”
