Mastro’s Ocean Club opens new Irvine location ...Middle East

News by : (The Orange County Register) -

Irvine just got a swank upgrade.

Mastro’s Ocean Club has officially debuted its sleek new location at the Irvine Spectrum, kicking things off with a private party on Thursday, Sept. 25. This new spot is the second for Orange County, following its first successful opening in Newport Beach (which has been a point of reference during this season’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County”) back in 2005.

This isn’t a small affair: the new restaurant boasts a 10,404-square-foot setting with seating for up to 342 guests. The layout features two outdoor patios, private event spaces, a spacious main dining room with a dedicated bar.

Natrually, there are steaks galore — including USDA prime steaks, certified Kobe and Wagyu — and, as its name promises, seafood aplenty. Expect favorites like Chilean sea bass, branzino, salmon, two-foot tall seafood towers, caviar-topped oysters, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, a selection of sushi, lobster bisque and their famous lobster mashed potatoes. Dessert options include classics like butter cake, chocolate cake and key lime pie.

Guests can also anticipate nightly live entertainment from a rotating roster of pianists and vocalists. But this level of luxury comes at a price; Mastro’s Ocean Club is one of Orange County’s pricier affairs, with steaks range from an eight-ounce filet for $69 to a 40-ounce Australian wagyu tomahawk chop for $275.

Don’t forget that the parent company also owns Mastro’s Steakhouse, which has a location in Costa Mesa.

Irvine’s newest luxe dining spot takes over the old Del Frisco’s Grille. Mastro’s Restaurants now has more than 25 locations across the U.S., joining an expensive list of expensive cities like Beverly Hills, San Francisco, San Diego and Malibu.
