ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Another gloomy start to our day, with a few tiny showers in parts near the Finger Lakes, but clouds will decrease throughout the day across the region, and alongside mild temperatures it will make for a very enjoyable end to the workweek. Things stay sunny and warm up this weekend, before temperatures balance out to more seasonable levels with even more sun. Safe to say conditions will be perfect for the countless for all outdoor activities and events. Get out and enjoy it!
Right now, chances for rain any day next week are slim to none. However, one thing we are tracking very closely is the tropics: Hurricane Humberto may not have any impact on us, but there is another area we’re keeping watch of to Humberto’s west. That area may develop into Tropical Storm Imelda in the next few days, and it currently has a 50/50 chance to either be pulled out to sea like Humberto or sucked into the east coast by an upper level cutoff low. If the latter happens, areas inland from the Mid-Atlantic coast may be dealing with several days of heavy rain. Whether any of that reaches far enough north to impact us is a question we’ll have to revisit later as more observations come in. But make sure to check back in over the next few days for updates on that forecast.
For now, enjoy the upcoming beautiful weekend weather!
