ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Black Button Distillery has announced they will continue to produce and sell their products after an investment from a company out of Kentucky.
Back in July, President and CEO of Black Button Jason Barrett announced the company’s closure.

According to the company’s website, a longtime friend, Kris Comstock of Blackstar Company, heard the news and offered an investment to help keep Black Button in business.
Although the company says their tasting room will still be closed for now, they will now continue to produce New York grown bourbon, empire rye whiskey, vodka, gin, and Bespoke bourbon cream.
In a press release from Blackstar, Comstock said it was “the people of Rochester who helped save Black Button.”
“I saw how much it meant to them, and I knew I had to do whatever I could to help,” said Comstock. “I’m thrilled about this partnership, and happy to say that operations will continue as normal under Jason’s leadership.”
