SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini practiced with his teammates again on Tuesday after he missed time during training camp last week with what was described as an illness.
Celebrini took part in power play drills early in practice, as he formed a unit with fellow forwards Will Smith, Tyler Toffoli, William Eklund and defenseman Sam Dickinson. Another power play unit featured forwards Philipp Kurashev, Alexander Wennberg, Jeff Skinner, Michael Misa and defenseman Dmitry Orlov.
Celebrini skated with the Sharks on Thursday but was sent home by the team after he reported not feeling well. He then stayed off the ice on Friday and Saturday before he skated again on Sunday, doing skill work with development coach Mike Ricci.
Last season, Celebrini, 19, finished second among all rookies with 25 goals and 38 assists as he led the Sharks with 63 points.
San Jose’s next preseason game is on Friday at home against the Golden Knights.
