More than 300 flights were delayed Monday at Denver International Airport during a thunderstorm-fueled ground delay issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Flights headed in and out of Denver were being delayed by an average of 38 minutes as of 3:15 p.m. Monday, according to the FAA. Those delays were expected to increase after 4 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m., when the traffic management program is expected to end.
At 3:15 p.m., 318 flights had been delayed and three had been canceled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware.
Southwest delayed 151 flights, followed by 70 from United, 47 from SkyWest and 20 from Frontier. Seven other airlines delayed between one and nine flights.
American Airlines canceled two flights and United canceled one, according to FlightAware.
