I Made Cowboy Sliders and They Were the Talk of My Game-Day Party ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

These over-the-top sliders pack in everything you want on game day: juicy ground beef, melty cheese, crispy onions, smoky bacon and a generous drizzle of seasoned “cowboy butter.” They’re savory, messy in the best way and they're guaranteed to disappear fast.

Cowboy butter already has a massive following online, but adding it to a slider takes things to the next level. When I tested the recipe, my family of six (plus a few friends who happened to stop by) devoured the entire tray before halftime—and immediately asked me to make them again.

Cowboy butter is a special type of butter that’s infused with herbs and spices to create something incredibly delicious. It was popularized by Amanda Rettke of the I Am Homesteader blog.

Rettke is such a fan of cowboy butter that she’s developed and published 19 recipes that call for the flavor-packed ingredient over the last three years, including chicken skewers, corn on the cob and butter swim biscuits. “I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. They are all uniquely amazing,” she shares.

Ingredients You Need to Make Cowboy Sliders

You don’t need a bunch of fancy ingredients to make cowboy sliders—just a few basics you probably already have on hand. Start with butter and a little vegetable oil, then add flavor with your favorite herbs and spices, along with a yellow onion and garlic. The base of the sliders is ground beef seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and hamburger seasoning, while a jalapeño pepper brings a touch of heat.

How to Make Cowboy Sliders

To make the sliders, start with some ground beef and cook it down with onions, garlic, a splash of Worcestershire and whatever burger seasoning you like. Drain the meat and set it aside. While the beef is cooking, crisp up some bacon and shred a good handful of cheddar.

Cover the pan with foil and bake at 350° until the cheese is melted, then uncover for a few minutes so the tops get golden. Slice into sliders and serve with extra cowboy butter on the side for dipping.

My Honest Thoughts About Cowboy Sliders

The smell that fills your kitchen while the sliders cook in the oven is amazing, and the flavors you're met with when you take a bite do not disappoint. They're salty, spicy, buttery and cheesy. What's not to love?

Will I make cowboy sliders again? Absolutely. Your team might not win every game, but serving these at a tailgate is always a guaranteed touchdown.
