AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Wide receiver DeAndre Moore is expected to play for Texas on Saturday against Sam Houston State, while running back Quintrevion Wisner is doubtful to play, Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian said.
Moore left the game against San Jose State with a concussion and did not return, and then sat out last week's win over UTEP.
Sarkisian looking to avoid ‘paralysis from analysis’ against Sam Houston StateWith CJ Baxter out with a hamstring injury and Wisner doubtful with a leg injury that's kept him out almost the entire nonconference schedule, Texas will operate with a young backfield featuring Christian Clark, Jerrick Gibson and James Simon. Sarkisian expects both backs to be available for the Southeastern Conference opener Oct. 4 against Florida.
Emmett Mosley V continues to rehab an injury from training camp, so the transfer wideout from Stanford hasn't played a down yet. Still, Sarkisian is hopeful that he'll be ready for the SEC opener.
