ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The weekend will start off cool and crisp, with a hint of fall in the air. Temperatures will dip into the lower 40s, possibly even some upper 30s in the deeper valleys of the Finger Lakes Saturday morning. Lots of sunshine will help us warm into the upper 60s by the afternoon. Summer surges back on Sunday, with highs rebounding back into the lower 80s with a mix of clouds and sunshine. If you want to do some apple picking or other fall activities, both days look great! Saturday has the fall vibes, and Sunday features summer.
Our weather pattern becomes a little more unsettled next week, with a slow moving area of low pressure drawing closer to our area. That means more clouds and some showers at times, which isn’t a bad thing, considering parts of our area are still in a moderate drought. Still, the rain expected next likely won’t do much to help our drought conditions. We’ll also remain somewhat mild next week, with highs in the 70s to near 80 at times.
