GATES, N.Y. — This week’s Touchdown 10 game of the week focuses on the Irondequoit Eagles vs the Gates Chili Spartans.
The Spartans won just one game last year, compiling a 1-8 record. But this year, through the first week of the season, they have already matched last year’s win total with a 42-13 victory over Greece Arcadia.
So the Spartans are hoping they can build off a strong start to the year, but it won’t be easy with the Eagles in their way.
The Eagles were the four-seed in Class A one season ago, compiling a 7-2 record including a five-game winning streak to start the year. They picked up where they left off last week, with a 59-0 win over Wilson.
