Fantasy Football QB Rankings, Who Should I Add Off Waiver Wires:

Daniel Jones (Giants) was the highest recommended QB waiver wire pickup this week.

Analysis

In what was easily the surprise of the Sunday slate, Daniel “Peyton Manning 2.0” Jones and the Colts offense looked absolutely incredible against the Dolphins. Jones completed 22 of 29 passes — something Anthony Richardson can only dream about — for 272 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 26 yards and two scores on the ground. He connected for big plays with Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, Tyler Warren, and even Mo Alie-Cox, and carried a mostly middling rushing attack to a 33-point shellacking of Miami’s defense.

Now, let’s be clear: this Dolphins defense is probably very bad. We will likely see a very different Danny Dimes in Week 2 against the Broncos. But. He earned a place in the waiver column. Just don’t go blowing 20% of your budget on this one-week revelation.

Who are the best sleeper options in the Week 12 Fantasy Football QB Rankings?

Here are two of the best options to pick up on waiver wires, depending on your league size.

Aaron Rodgers (Steelers) vs. Seahawks

Aaron Rodgers couldn’t have played much better in his debut for the Steelers, throwing for 244 yards and four touchdowns in a 34-32 victory over the Jets. He completed 73.3% of his passes and didn’t throw an interception. The gunslinger didn’t shy away from tight coverage, either.

Next Gen Stats has a stat called Aggressiveness (AGG%), which tracks the number of passing attempts a quarterback makes that are into tight coverage, where the defender is within one yard or less of the receiver at the time of the completion. AGG% is shown as a percentage of attempts into tight windows over all passing attempts. Rodgers’ AGG% was 20.0% in Week 1, which was the seventh-highest mark in the league.

The Seahawks didn’t struggle to defend the pass last year, finishing 13th in aFPA to quarterbacks. They picked off Brock Purdy two times in Week 1, but Purdy also threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Still, with how well Rodgers performed in Week 1, he has at least worked his way into the streamer discussion, especially with this being a home game for him.

Joe Flacco (Browns) @ Ravens

Joe Flacco was busy Sunday, attempting 45 passes against the Bengals. He completed 31 of them for 290 yards and a touchdown. The issue was that he was intercepted twice. Still, the passing volume is appealing for fantasy managers. Given the problems that the Browns have on defense and their underwhelming depth chart at running back, Flacco will likely continue to be asked to throw a lot moving forward.

The Ravens had an epic collapse against the Bills on Sunday night, with their defense allowing 41 points. Josh Allen threw for 394 yards and two touchdowns, while adding two touchdowns with his legs. The Ravens’ defense can be prone to giving up big plays. They allowed 58 receptions of at least 20 yards last season, which was the third-most in the NFL. With 40+ pass attempts possibly on the horizon, Flacco could provide value in deeper formats.
