MOUNTAIN VIEW — Mountain View Police on Saturday announced the arrest of a woman who allegedly struck a pedestrian late last month in the city while driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police said Eva Lerner, 23, of San Francisco, reportedly struck a 64-year-old Mountain View resident sometime before 9:47 p.m. on Aug. 31 near W. El Camino Real and Miramonte Avenue. The man, who survived, was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries, according to police. Police said Lerner remained on scene following the incident.
Responding officers reportedly arrested Lerner for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol. She was later booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for one count of suspected driving under the influence of alcohol causing an injury, police said.
