ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Yellow Alert for Thursday as a round of gusty storms will arrive later this morning into the afternoon. Be prepared for some heavy downpours, a strong gust of wind and lightning. Storms should be quick hitting but may impact outdoor plans. Be sure to pack the rain gear for later today even though it is a lovely morning. Timing the arrival of storms between 11AM and noon near and west of Rochester. Storms will then head east and exit after 2-3PM. Some storms may still be in the region as the kids leave school. Also note the temperature will drop quite a bit later today from mid and upper 70s to the low 60s. Clearing this evening into tonight.
Friday will bring some nice weather but a gusty breeze. Sunshine and 70s to end the week. The second cold front will arrive Friday night into Saturday with some showers and perhaps an area of rain early Saturday. Showers will taper during the day as cooler air moves in with temps holding in the 60s. Sunday will bring sun and clouds with a shower. Next week looks nice with a warming trend.
