Weapons recaptured the top spot at the box office after briefly losing the crown to a Netflix movie, grossing $12.78 million over the four-day holiday weekend to lead all films in North America, according to industry estimates Monday.

After spending its first two weeks atop the chart, the Warner Bros. horror film — which stars Julia Garner and Josh Brolin — slipped behind KPop Demon Hunters last weekend, when the streaming service released the popular animated musical to theaters for a special two-day engagement.

Second place this weekend went to a 50th anniversary re-release of Jaws, which grossed $9.9 million Friday through Monday, Comscore reported.

Director Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, a crime thriller starring Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz, opened in third place with $9.6 million.

Freakier Friday was fourth with $8.3 million in its fourth weekend in theaters, followed by The Roses, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, which opened with $8 million through Monday.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases were Fantastic Four: First Steps ($6.3 million), The Bad Guys 2 ($6.2 million), Superman ($3.2 million), Nobody 2 ($2.4 million) and The Naked Gun ($2.3 million).

This weekend’s overall four-day box office haul was estimated at $82.9 million. The year-to-date total is $5.995 billion — up 4.3% from the figure at this time last year, according to Comscore.
