The Girlfriend (9/10, Prime Video)
Since her Emmy-winning turn on House of Cards, Robin Wright has largely spent her time behind the camera, namely directing two episodes of Ozark. But she's stepping back in front of the screen for The Girlfriend, a psychological thriller based on the Michelle Frances novel. Wright will star as a wealthy woman who grows increasingly concerned that her son's lovable new girlfriend (House of the Dragon's Olivia Cooke) is not all that she seems.

The Lowdown (9/23, FX)
From the creator of the criminally underrated Reservation Dogs comes a self-proclaimed "Tulsa noir." The Lowdown centers on Lee Raybon (Ethan Hawke), a local journalist who becomes an amateur investigator as he tries to look into the circumstances behind the suicide of the black sheep of a powerful family (Tim Blake Nelson). The FX series features a powerhouse cast, including Jeanne Tripplehorn, Kyle MacLachlan and Keith David, fresh off of earning his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The past couple of years have been a whirlwind for Sarah Snook. In 2023, the actress finished her star turn on Succession, picking up an Emmy for her efforts. She then hopped right up on the stage, turning in a Tony Award-winning performance in her one-woman adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Grey. And it wasn't long before she jumped back into TV, playing the lead role in Peacock's new series All Her Fault. An adaptation of Andra Mara's novel, the mystery thriller stars Snook as a mother who undergoes every parent's nightmare, as she arrives to pick up her son from a playdate, only to find him missing.
