The No. 11 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft capped off his first season as a pro in resounding fashion. He finally forced a hesitant Billy Donovan to put him in the starting lineup in early February. The decision came after an electric performance against the Dallas Mavericks, where Buzelis shot a perfect 10-10 and scored a career-high 24 points.
From that point on, Buzelis looked like arguably the best rookie in the league. He averaged 13.0 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 47.3 percent from the field. Thanks in part to his consistent two-way impact, the Bulls were able to play above-.500 basketball for the final two months of the season.
