ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is set to get a new route this fall.

Breeze Airways will begin nonstop services from Rochester to Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Thursdays and Sundays, starting on Oct. 2. The route to the Myrtle Beach International Airport will operate seasonally through May.

Breeze Airways says Myrtle Beach is full of activities even after the summer months, including Oktoberfest, the Carolina Beach Music Awards in November, and the North Pole Express Cruise in December.

Back in May, Rochester added four new routes when Breeze Airways began its new services. In addition, Avelo Airlines began its nonstop flights to Nashville in April and Allegiant announced a new route for Sarasota, Fla., earlier this month.
