Arizona State’s most significant losses from their Big 12 title season in 2024 came at running back, center and nickel.
Cam Skattebo, Leif Fautanu and Shamari Simmons ran out of college eligibility, and some more clarity as to which players might replace them was revealed in ASU football’s first depth chart for 2025’s season opener against Northern Arizona.
Reminder: This is initial, created by the Sun Devil Athletics communications staff and an extended depth chart — extended as in there are more than 11 starters for both offense and defense.
At running back, with two starters listed, it’s returnees Kyson Brown and Raleek Brown up first, with Army transfer Kanye Udoh and freshman Demarius Robinson listed as backups at each slot.

no surprise to see nickel listed as an “or” starter since kenny dillingham said monday it might not be one guy getting a vast majority of the snaps. pic.twitter.com/nwTNroTfsV

Last year’s starting left guard, Ben Coleman, was already named the starting center despite Iowa State transfer Wade Helton getting some late camp practice with the first team.
At nickelback replacing Simmons, it’s returnee Montana Warren and Pursue transfer Kyndrich Breedlove listed as “OR” options.
