CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — A 48-year-old woman from Canandaigua is facing charges after Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say she used another person’s identity to rent an apartment and failed to pay rent.
Deputies say Nichelle Beale used another person’s identity to rent an apartment at Candlewood Apartments from May 1, 2025 to Aug. 13, 2025. They say Beale failed to pay rent and utilities, stealing over $6,000 worth of service from the complex.
Beale is being held at Ontario County Jail. She was charged with identity theft in the first degree.
