Purvis, 33, had been incarcerated at the Bartow County Jail in Georgia since July 18. She was released at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 25. She was accused of violating her probation in a 2022 criminal case, accusing her of making terroristic threats against a man named Mason.

In 2024, Purvis was ordered to serve one day behind bars and 12 months of probation. The judge told Purvis she was subject to arrest for any violation of the order, including getting in trouble with the law.

As Us previously reported, Purvis was arrested on July 7 over alleged involuntary manslaughter. The arrest triggered a probation violation in the terroristic threats case and resulted in her being back in jail.

On August 4, Purvis’ lawyer filed documents asking for a hearing on the alleged probation violation.

In an order signed on August 11, the judge ordered Purvis to be released on Monday, August 25. The former reality star was instructed to follow all terms of her release.

Court documents show a judge presiding over another criminal case filed against Purvis, for allegedly driving while using a cell phone, recently issued an order to the Bartow County Jail to produce Purvis for a hearing next week.

The judge signed off on the request but unclear if Purvis’ scheduled release date will be postponed.

Purvis spent 14 days behind bars at the Floyd County Correctional Institution before being released on bond. The former reality star was ordered to stay away from drugs and alcohol, not contact John’s family and be home from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. every night.

While behind bars, TMZ reported Purvis was placed on suicide watch due to her making certain remarks. Sources told the outlet that Purvis was detoxing behind bars.

Harris’ mom, Lisa Harris, spoke out after Purvis’ arrest. She believed Purvis should be locked up to prevent her from hurting others. “She did this, and as a result, my son is dead,” Lisa said.
