Montenegro will face off against Germany, which fields an impressive roster of NBA-level talent. Headlined by Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner, the roster also includes familiar faces like Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis, Tristan Da Silva, and Isaac Bonga.
Nikola Vucevic’s second matchup will be far easier, but it will still pit him against one of the better bigs in the tournament. Lithuania will be led by Jonas Valanciunas, who is one of the few centers in Eurobasket with the experience and strength to handle Vucevic’s savvy post presence.
Overall, Montenegro will play a total of five games during the initial Group Stage of the event. If they want to advance to the knockout round, they will have to finish in the Top 4 of their group. This second stage of Eurobasket will begin on September 6.
