San Diego beer lovers, mark your calendars! On Saturday, Sept. 20, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Quartyard will transform into a lively beer hall for the 9th Annual East Village Oktoberfest. Hosted by Quartyard and the East Village Association, the one-day celebration brings the spirit of Munich to Downtown San Diego with a local twist.
“Oktoberfest is one of those special events that brings people together through culture, music, and amazing beer,” said Dominic Li Mandri, district manager of the East Village Association. “We’re excited to continue this tradition with our friends at Quartyard and offer a unique San Diego take on a global celebration. The EVA is proud to support local events that unite neighbors and celebrate the vibrant, inclusive spirit that makes our community so special.”
Guests can expect communal tables, craft beers, and hearty food, including Bavarian sausages, soft pretzels with beer mustard, and Mexican favorites from Quartyard’s in-house restaurant, El Comal. Music will be provided by a mix of Polka tunes and tribute bands, headlined by the Zeitgeist Oktoberfest Band. SDHosted will run interactive games and competitions to keep the energy high.
Traditional Oktoberfest attire is encouraged. This is a 21+ event, with tickets ranging from $20 to $25.
The East Village spans 130 blocks in Downtown San Diego and is home to more than 700 businesses, including restaurants, galleries, hotels, retail establishments, and PETCO Park. With nearly 20,000 residents and growing, it’s a hub of culture, education, and entertainment.
