ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The cooler air over the last few days will be replaced by more summer-like air once again for the weekend. Saturday will start off in the lower 60s and end in the mid 80s. Dew points will rise a little bit, so it won’t feel quite as fresh and comfortable, but humidity levels will still be very tolerable. But, the rise in dew points will also provide the chance for a few showers this weekend. Saturday should remain mostly dry, with just the slight chance of a pop up afternoon shower. We’ll tend to see the clouds thicken up a little more during the afternoon.

Some showers and even a rumble of thunder will develop Saturday night just ahead of a cold front pushing through on Sunday. It’ll be a slow moving cold front, with some showers likely in the morning west of the Genesee Valley, and a better chance of a storm or two during the afternoon east. That being said, we’ll still see some sun mixing in, along with plenty of dry time. But if you have outdoor plans on Sunday, check back for any updates on the timing of rain.

Once the cold front is through, we’ll be turning cooler through at least the first half of next week, with a Fall-like feel to the air. Monday will top out in the lower half of the 70s with the slight chance of a pop up shower. Tuesday and Wednesday will be the coolest days, with highs in the upper 60s to near 70. It’ll be cool enough at night for some lake effect rain showers Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, along with some pop up afternoon showers through Wednesday.
