(KRON) -- Several crews spanning across multiple agencies continued working overnight at the site of a vegetation fire near Calistoga that jumped to 1,200 acres on Thursday, according to Cal Fire.

Evacuees needing overnight shelter are asked to go to Crosswalk Community Church at 2590 First St. in Napa.

Authorities said it had a "moderate rate of speed."
"3 helicopters with night flying capabilities will continue working the fire overnight," Cal Fire updated in a social media post around 9 p.m. Thursday. "1 helicopter providing supervision will also be working tonight. We also have multiple ground resources that will continue with suppression efforts."

The origin and cause of the fire have not yet been determined. There is no word that nearby structures or homes are threatened.
Two hundred fifteen personnel from various agencies are assisting at the scene, Cal Fire confirmed.
Smoke from the wildfire can be seen as far away as Santa Rosa, said the Santa Rosa Fire Department in a social media post.

"Smoke from the Pickett Fire in Napa County is expected to impact Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties on Thursday and Friday," said Bay Area Air District in a news release on Thursday afternoon. "Conditions can change rapidly and the amount and location of smoke at ground level is hard to predict. Smoky, hazy skies may be visible, and the smell of smoke is possible."
