The reissue comes from Craft Recordings and features fan favorites like “The Lucky One,” “Baby, Now That I’ve Found You,” “When You Say Nothing at All,” and the instrumental piece “Cluck Old Hen,” which earned a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance.
All told, Alison Krauss & Union Station has won 14 Grammys out of 18 nominations; Krauss has an additional 13 wins on 26 nominations.
The 23-year-old Live was the fifth album from Alison Krauss & Union Station and remains the band’s only live recording to date. The album, which was mostly recorded at Louisville’s Palace Theatre, is a 25-track collection that showcases the band’s incredible musicianship and rich harmonies as one of the premier bluegrass groups.
Live topped the Billboard Bluegrass chart, reached the Country Top 10, and landed in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200. BBC called it “an album of superlatives,” and Analog Planet wrote, "Krauss’s fiddle playing is as fiery and accomplished live as it is in the studio, and her coy vocals, as coolly sexy and intimate in front of a crowd as they are in an isolation booth, rightly drive some audience members absolutely crazy."
