Perfect Match star Sandy Gallagher was paired with Louis Russell during the entirety of season 3 — and she has thoughts about his rumored romance with Love Island USA standout Huda Mustafa.
“They quite literally hit a red carpet and hard-launched their whatever relationship the day that our show premiered,” Sandy, 29, said on the Wednesday, August 20, episode of the “What’s the Reality” podcast. “When you’re on dating shows, you have to keep your dating life on lockdown until the show is done because it ruins the show.”
She added, “That is, like, reality dating 101. You have to keep everything super private, and it almost felt calculated and very intentional that they’re not being spotted but hitting a red carpet together the day that our show premiered.”
Louis and Huda, both 24, walked the red carpet together at the July 31 premiere of Weapons, but have not publicly confirmed their relationship status. Hours before Louis and Huda’s formal outing, his journey on Perfect Match began airing on Netflix. “I was upset,” Sandy recalled of seeing the photos of Louis and Huda together. “I did not say a word to him about it. … I was upset mostly for the show, not for me, personally. It was, like, a little bit of a relief in a way, but for the sake of the show, the other castmates, our story line and, most importantly, the audience, I thought it was a really, really big slap in the face and a disrespect to the whole production.”
Sandy and podcast host AD Smith, who also appeared on Perfect Match season 3, further lamented how Louis couldn’t wait two weeks to seemingly confirm his alleged new love.
“We have two weeks of airtime. You could have waited two weeks, especially with your relationship that has only been alive for two weeks,” Sandy claimed. “Any other real relationship, like all of ours, we’ve had to wait months and months and months to actually reveal what’s going on for this show [and] the timing of it.”

Sandy noted that several of their costars did patiently wait to reveal their relationship status until the August finale.
“For him to do that was just, like, very disrespectful and selfish,” Sandy said.
According to Sandy, she has not spoken to Louis since the show wrapped and has fully moved on.
“I’ve been seeing somebody for the last couple months,” she said. “We’re really happy [and] things are really good. I mean, there’s been some roadblocks with the show. It’s not easy to watch your person on TV with somebody else, but it was filmed a year ago.”
