Blackhawks Pipeline Leads New Top 100 Prospect Rankings ...Middle East

Sport by : (Bleacher Nation) -

I do love me some prospect rankings during the quiet days of hockey, and we got a new list this week from Elite Prospects. They put together their top 100 affiliated prospect list (with some honorable mentions), and the Chicago Blackhawks are once again very well represented.

The Blackhawks have seven prospects in their top 100 and one more in the honorable mentions — eight prospects leads the NHL. Utah, Washington and Nashville had seven players on the list or in the honorable mentions.

Here’s where Chicago’s prospects rank on their list:

10. Artyom Levshunov, RHD16. Sam Rinzel, RHD 26. Anton Frondell, C37. Oliver Moore, C69. Sacha Boisvert, C77. Vaclav Nestrašil, RW100. Nick Lardis, RWHM — Ethan Del Mastro, LHD

Here’s what Mitch Brown wrote about Levshunov:

Artyom Levshunov’s first professional season was a mirror image of his NCAA one: great ups followed by deep downs. Possessing a booming shot, a feel for activating offensively, playmaking talents, higher-end skating for his size, and the strength to handle tough board battles, Levshunov could very well become a top-pair defenceman in the NHL, provided he becomes more consistent, solidifies his reads, and learns to better manage risk.

Here’s what Brown said about Rinzel:

Since the 2022 Draft, Sam Rinzel has undergone a transformation. Previously a raw, offence-first defenceman, he’s now a well-rounded force. Defensively, he shines with his ability to angle rushes wide and box out threats. A skilled, creative player, he looks for high-value plays on breakouts consistently – and will break ankles to find them. That vision translates to the offensive end at times, too. Increasing his urgency and improving his play selection will be key. Though there will be mistakes, his tools and fearlessness won’t stop him from becoming a minute-eating, top-four defenceman.

And here’s what he wrote about Frondell:

No 17-year-old has produced at a higher pace than Anton Frondell in the history of HockeyAllsvenskan. The recent third-overall pick is one of the best finishers on this list, equally capable of beating goalies with his powerful one-timer and slick outside leg release. The shot is just a part of the equation, though, as Frondell also excels at playing off his linemates and finding space and opportunities from the net-front, while also being exceptionally physically developed for his age, too. These qualities alone could make him a potential 30-goal scorer for the Blackhawks, with the potential to become a true top-six forward if he improves his mobility and transition play-driving.
