Freestyle specialist Clarke Neace will head south to Athens to join the Georgia Bulldogs in their women’s class of 2029. Neace was recognized in our class of 2025 re-ranking back in June.
A native of Huntersville, NC, Neace competed for Providence Day School and represented SwimMAC Carolina.
I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Georgia! I am beyond grateful to my family, friends, and coaches for their support. Can’t wait to be a part of this team! Go dawgs!!!
In February, Neace broke the NCISAA record in the 500 free (4:47.98) en route to a North Carolina High School state title at the NCISAA Division 1 State Championships. At that meet, Neace also finished 3rd in the 200 free, touching in 1:49.48.
Earlier this summer, Neace competed at the Speedo Junior National Championships, representing SwimMAC Carolina, where she set a new lifetime mark in the 800 free in 8:48.80, touching 8th overall. Neace added a 12th-place finish in the 400 free in 4:19.84.

500 Free- 4:47.98 1000 Free- 9:53.18 1650 Free- 16:43.52 200 Free- 1:48.14The Georgia women’s squad earned fourth place in the 13-team field at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships.
Her best times would have placed 32nd in the 1650 free, tied for 38th in the 500 free, and 40th in the 200 free at last season’s SEC Championships.
Neace joins Marin Clem, Mia Jeltema, Maeve Eckerman, Hayden Hollingsworth, Hailey Dopson, Kylie McMurray, Kennedi Dobson, Elizabeth Nawrocki, and Izzy Beau in the Bulldogs’ class of 2029.
