CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man is dead after being shot overnight in northeast Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injuries call on the 300 block of Lambeth Drive. When they arrived, they found a man inside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, officials said.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or if anyone is in custody. Anyone with information is asked to contact CMPD at 704-432-8477 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
