CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A water main break in Uptown Charlotte has closed down 6th Street.
According to Charlotte Water, the 100 block of W. 6th Street will be without water for 6-8 hours as crews work to fix a water pipe.
A Queen City News photographer at the scene said 6th Street at Tryon and Church streets is closed. This is outside the Discovery Place Museum.
The surrounding area may also be impacted by the repairs.
Charlotte Water crews are repairing a water pipe affecting service to 100TH BLOCK OF W. 6TH ST and the immediate area. The repair requires a water outage for an estimated 6 - 8 hours. We will update you once your water service is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience.
