(KRON) -- A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were seriously injured in a solo-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Novato, police said. The driver of the vehicle has not been located.
The Novato Police Department responded around 3 a.m. to Ignacio Boulevard between Palmer Drive and Entrada Drive on the report of a car crash. Arriving officers found the two teenage passengers in a white Ford Edge that was heavily damaged.
(Novato Police Department)The 14-year-old girl is being treated for critical injuries at a regional trauma center, while the 15-year-old boy is at a local hospital in stable condition after sustaining significant injuries, Novato PD said in an update just after 11 a.m.
A search for the driver turned up empty “despite the assistance of the Marin County Sheriff drone team,” police said. Detectives and traffic investigators are working to identify and find the driver.
