COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Realtor.com recently named a suburb of Columbus among America’s top 10 “hottest” ZIP codes, characterized as areas seeing high demand from buyers and fast-selling homes.

Each year since 2017, the real estate listing website has released a list of the hottest ZIP codes in the country. Realtor.com compiles the rankings based on ZIP codes’ market demand, measured by unique viewers per property on Realtor.com, and market pace, measured by the number of days listings remain active on the site.

In the 2025 list, released last week, the ZIP code 43209 in Bexley secured a spot at No. 10. From January through June, homes in Bexley’s ZIP code received about 3.4 times more unique views per listing than the U.S. median, according to Realtor.com. Homes in the city sat on the market for a median of 25 days and had a median listing price of $439,000.

“Bexley is a wonderful place to live," Columbus Realtors President Buffie Patterson said in a news release. “Its proximity to downtown, combined with its small-town charm and distinctive character, has kept it among central Ohio’s most beloved communities for decades.”

Multiple central Ohio cities are familiar to Realtor.com’s hottest ZIP code list. Gahanna was ranked as America’s hottest ZIP code in 2023 and 2024, although it fell off the list this year. Other local ZIP codes that have made the list include Worthington, which ranked at No. 3 in 2023, as well as Lincoln Village (No. 6 in 2021), Reynoldsburg (No. 2 in 2020) and Hilliard (No. 10 in 2017).

In the 2025 list, the ZIP code 44149, which primarily houses the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville, marked the only other Ohio area to make the top 10, ranking at No. 6. The ZIP code saw 5.2 times more unique viewers than the country’s median. Listings in the area were also active on Realtor.com for an average of 25 days and the median home price was $423,000.
