Eli Manning has a knack for going undercover. After fooling Penn State coaches and players as walk-on tryout “Chad Powers,” the Ole Miss great targeted some professional golfers in his latest prank.
“I’m here at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and I’m going undercover as a FedEx courier today to play some pranks on some of my favorite golfers,” Manning says in a clip posted by the PGA. ““It should be a lot of fun. Let’s go deliver some packages.”
Rickie Fowler was the first target.
“I have a package for a Mr. Fowler here,” Manning said to the star golfer. “I hope it’s a driver after those last few I saw you hit.”
Manning also messed with golfers as a tour volunteer. He amusingly asked Jordan Spieth if he was a golfer or a caddie.
“Golfer,” Spieth responded, taking the question at face value.
The clip cuts to Spieth realizing who asked the question.
“I didn’t see you at first. This was pretty good.”
For known Boston sports fan Keegan Bradley, Manning used a courier pun about his New York Giants days.
“I’m a FedEx courier at my real job,” Manning said. “Always deliver. Especially against the (New England) Patriots.”
Bradley got a good laugh out of being pranked by Manning.
“I didn’t know that was you,” Bradley said. “I’m like, ‘Who is this freak over here?’ Oh my God.”
