During a recent podcast appearance alongside husband Dave Franco, the 42-year-old actress looked back on her role in the fourth film of the iconic slasher film franchise—and she also revealed what she believes the newer films are getting wrong.
Explaining her "problem with the current era of the Scream franchise," on a new episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast, Brie claimed "too many people live" in the newer movies.
However, Brie also thinks that one character in particular should have never been killed off.
She insisted that they needed to "keep the main three," referring to Dewey, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox). The three OG characters appeared in all of the first four movies, and have each reprised their roles for various installments of the new revived franchise.
"I feel like with new Scream rules, even though she dies brutally, we could bring her back," Franco, 40, quipped during the interview, to which his wife replied, "Yeah, where’s my role in Scream 7?"
