PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills have partnered with nonprofit “No Kids Hungry New York,” to give over $100,000 to fund summer meal programs in schools across Western New York.
The goal is to provide more kids in Western New York free, nutritious meals all summer long. It is financially supported by the Buffalo Bills Foundation, who gave No Kid hungry New York a check for $167,147.
To celebrate, 30 students and their family members from the LeRoy Central School District were able to watch practice and meet Bills players during training camp Monday.
Part of the funding went to the LeRoy Central School District. During the summer, the school distributes multi-day grab-n-go meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Lyons Central School District in Wayne County were also one of the schools to get the funding. During the summer, they deliver meals seven days a week directly to the homes of kids unable to get meals at their school site.
