(QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Wet roads and rising waters are causing problems across Charlotte on Tuesday, and officials are urging drivers to slow down and take extra care on the roads.
Heavy rain has led to flooding on several roadways and parts of I-485 in west Charlotte, with minor water buildup reported. The North Carolina Highway Patrol is reminding drivers of the golden rule: “Turn around, don’t drown.” Never try to drive through standing water, even a few inches can cause you to lose control or stall your vehicle.
