SUN’S out, spritz out – to celebrate National Spritz Day (August 1), it’s time to get the drinks on ice.

We’ve rounded up the biggest spritz stars of summer 2025 for you to choose from – and to find out which celeb you’re most like, according to your tipple.

Are you all over the spritz du jour, the Hugo? Maybe you’re sweet like Sabrina Carpenter, or a girl about town like supermodel Cara Delevingne?

There’s a spritz out there for everyone – and the supermarkets are getting involved this summer, with a host of new products to try.

Nothing says summer like a spritz!Villa Massa

Find out which recipe has soared in searches by more than 50% in the last three months, plus how to perfect your spritzing at home.

So, what’s it going to be?

Aperol Spritz… Like Charlie XCX

Once the only spritz to be seen with, the OG has fallen down the hot list, as summer 2025 has seen a raft of rivals be labelled as cooler options.

So, anyone still reaching for the Aperol is clearly a leader rather than a follower – like Charlie, you don’t give a fig what other people think and you’ll drink what you like.

Having recently got married in a classic Vivienne Westwood dress in a low-key register office ceremony, we’re sure there was an Aperol or two on the cards to help the singer celebrate.

After all, it’s a classic.

Sophie Turner is a fan of the elegant Hugo Spritz – AKA 2025’s most fashionableGetty Images, St-Germain

Hugo Spritz… Like Sophie Turner

Fresh and elegant, the Hugo spritz is the drink of summer 2025 and loved by all you chic, on-trend girlies, who heart an Insta-perfect drinks party.

Game Of Thrones actress Sophie enjoys it so much she’s even put her face to the delectable St-Germain elderflower liqueur brand used in the Hugo.

And with Google searches for Hugos rising by over 350% in one weekend this summer, Lidl has launched its own version for just £4.49 a bottle, in stores now.

The sparkling blend of prosecco and elderflower is perfect for summer get-togethers, appealing to all you social spritzers!

To mix your own, add ice to a wine glass, pour in 45ml St-Germain, add fresh mint, top with 60ml sparkling wine and 60ml soda water. Stir and garnish with a lime wedge.

Limoncello Spritz… Like Sabrina Carpenter

You might think the singer favours an Espresso, but her fave summer tipple is this refreshing, lemony spritz that won’t fail to give you zest for life and has seen Google searches soar by 50% this summer so far.

Just like the drink, you’re bubbly and sweeter than the average spritz fan – and no stranger to a party.

Sounds like a bit of you? Get involved with Villa Massa Limoncello, £25.57, from Tesco, made using lemons from Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Add ice to 30ml of limoncello, top with 90ml prosecco, 30ml soda water and 2 fresh lemon slices.

And for a showgirl twist a la Sabrina, dip the rim of your glass into a mix of freshly grated lemon zest and caster sugar.

Festival Spritz… Like Cara Delevingne

If your summer diary is a blur of festivals, picnics and spontaneity, like Cara D, you need a RTD spritz.

You like to keep your options open, you’re a people person and a girl about town, and the Della Vite spritz cans come in five different twists, from the Sicilian to the Bellini Spritz, all using Ms Delevingne’s own Della Vite Prosecco as a base.

As Cara herself says: “They’re made to be cracked open whenever and wherever. They’re fun and bold… All you need is a bit of sunshine and some great company, and you can aperitivo anywhere.”

Funkin Cocktails has also just launched a Raspberry Spritz and a Limoncello Spritz, £2.30 a can, from Tesco.

If you’re a low or no-alcohol lover like Florence Welch, this new launch is for youGetty Images, Fever-Tree

Non-Alcoholic Spritz… Like Florence Welch

You don’t need to get boozy to unleash your main character energy, and, like the teetotal Florence + The Machine singer, you favour a barefoot, boho aesthetic.

The new Fever-Tree Non-Alcoholic Italian Spritz, £1.90, from Sainsbury’s and Waitrose & Partners, is just the ticket for chucking in your fringed suede hobo bag.

Expertly blended to capture those Italian Riviera vibes, this is one top-notch tinny.
