(KRON) – Multiple agencies are searching for a person after an aircraft crashed near Point Pinos Saturday night, according to the United States Coast Guard.
A twin-engine Beechcraft, which departed from a San Carlos airport, crashed approximately 200 to 300 yards near Point Pinos. The Beechcraft occupied three people. Per Coast Guard Station Monterey watchstanders, the plane went down at around 10:55 p.m.
A 29-foot Response Boat crew was sent 15 minutes after the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the cause of the crash, according to the Coast Guard.
The Pacific Grove Police Department, Monterey Fire Department, Monterey County Sheriff's Office, San Mateo County Sheriff's Office and CAL Fire have assisted with this search.
