Rapper GloRilla was arrested on felony drug charges in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 22, after police were called to her home over the weekend while she was in Indianapolis for the WNBA All-Star Game.
GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Woods, was booked in Forsyth County for possession of a scheduled controlled substance and possession of marijuana over one ounce. She was released later on Tuesday on $22,260 bond.
Authorities arrived at the rapper’s home on Saturday, July 19, to investigate a reported burglary at around 1:30 a.m, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to WSB-TV in Atlanta.
Three individuals allegedly entered the home while GloRilla, 25, was away. WSB-TV reported someone else inside the home fired at them, causing the alleged burglars to flee. Police do not believe anyone was injured.

During the investigation, police smelled a “significant amount of marijuana” in a bedroom closet, leading to the pair of felony charges.
“The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice,” Sheriff Ron Freeman told WSB-TV. “At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”
GloRilla’s lawyers Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling slammed the arrest in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, “The arrest of Gloria Woods is a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become. Ms. Woods was out of town when her residence became a target for a group of home invaders who most likely knew she wasn’t there. What they didn’t know was that she had family staying with her that were traumatized by the violent entrance of this group who grabbed high value jewelry before taking off once they realized the home wasn’t vacant.”

A little more than 18 hours after police arrived at her home, GloRilla performed a medley of her songs “Let Her Cook,” “Typa” and “TGIF” at halftime of the WNBA All-Star Game. Even the players, who traditionally retreat to the locker room at halftime, stayed on the court to watch the performance.
This marks GloRilla’s second arrest in just over a year in Georgia. She was also arrested in April 2024 on DUI charges in Gwinnett County after police pulled her over for allegedly making a U-turn at a solid red light.
Officers then said they smelled alcohol and marijuana coming from the car, and GloRilla admitted she had been drinking. Body cam footage appeared to show her struggling to keep her balance amid a field sobriety test. She was later released on bond.
