A woman was injured Tuesday after a window at a Chicago hotel broke, sending glass raining down on the street below.
According to Chicago fire officials, the window broke on the 29th floor of the Hampton Inn, located across the street from Northwestern Hospital in the Streeterville neighborhood.
A spokesperson said some of the glass fell down onto the street below, closing East Huron Street as clean-up and an investigation continue.
Officials said one woman was injured in the incident, but it was unclear whether she was in the room or at street-level when the incident took place.
NBC 5 Political Reporter Mary Ann Ahern spoke to hotel guests who aren’t being allowed to enter the building to check-in until the scene is cleared.
