ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester received a grant that will expand dental care in underserved communities.
A $2.1 million federal grant will help the institute develop a community-based training program to expand the dental workforce and address the needs of people with complex medical conditions and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Funds from the Health Resources and Services Administration over the next five years will assist in launching the Excellence in Clinical Education and Leadership for Specialty Dental Care program.
The program offers an enhanced two-year residency to earn a Master of Public Health degree.
